• DNA Vaccine: The scientist are working on introducing a cell with tiny bits of DNA which can keep the immune system alert instead of reverting to normal after a certain period of time.
• Dendritic Cell Vaccine: Researchers have been successful in extracting the immune cells or dendritic cells they then mix them with dead tumour or virus cells and then induce them back into blood circulation of the sick person. Thus these dendritic cells once learned to identify the foreign cells might trigger the immune system to fight.
• Tumour Cell Vaccine: These contain cancer cells extracted during the process of surgery. The cancerous property of these cells are then destroyed they are then injected into the human body. These modified cells might help immune system to recognise other cancerous cells.

Success rate of vaccines
Scientist and researchers have been working on these therapeutic vaccines for several decades but they have not been successful in bringing a 100% result for any of the vaccines. The reason might be the barriers they have to face due to ethics and laws and secondly some viruses keep on changing and replicating at much faster pace than expected therefore making their study much difficult.
